Moldovan president has working meeting with governor of south Gagauz autonomy

Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with the bashkan (governor) of the Gagauz Autonomy, Irina Vlah.

According to the presidential press service, the officials discussed the present situation in the region, paying increased attention to the fight against the spread of the new-type coronavirus and settlement of social and economic problems. In particular, the sides considered the state of things in the context of the drought conditions.

The head of state fully backed the efforts made by Irina Vlah to maintain stability in the Gagauz Autonomy and accepted an invitation to pay a working visit to the region in the nearest future, in order to examine the situation on the spot.
