Moldovan president has meeting with representative of small-, medium-sized business

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon has organized a new meeting with the heads of the associations which represent diverse sectors of the economy. The participants in the today’s meeting tackled problems of the small- and medium-sized business, as well as of the licence holders.
According to the presidential press service, the head of state said that, after the emergency state is cancelled on 15 May, the restrictive measures would not be cancelled for good, in order not to allow new increase in the number of people infected with COVID-19. Given this, Igor Dodon specified that the problems faced by the small- and medium-sized business would remain on the agenda, just as for the other sectors of the economy.
Nevertheless, the interlocutors noted that, besides the direct influence of the crisis triggered by the pandemic, tens of thousands of people involved in this activity field were further facing certain administrative pressure and an unfair competition on behalf of the big business, first of all, the big commercial networks.
At the discussion, the Moldovan president assured those present of the fact that the country’s top leadership made maximal efforts to back the economic agents and the residents in the crisis conditions, for which reason all problems set forth would be considered and, based on them, solutions would be proposed.
