Moldova's Single Command Centre of emergency state holds meeting

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today chaired a meeting of the Single Command Centre of the emergency state. The leaders of the public authorities and institutions involved in the management of epidemiological situation reported the measures undertaken to this end, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The Interior Ministry (MAI) informed that MAI employees had checked the observance of the regime of self-isolation of more than 5,914 people.
The Border Police has registered the entrance of 1,442 people in Moldova.
The police, carabineers and National Army servicemen patrol public places, in order to supervise the observance of the requirements of social distancing and prevention of the infection’s spread.
The quarantine regime was ceased in the Soroca city and the Branzeni village, Edinet district. The quarantine regime will be lift in Glodeni on 11 May. Presently, the quarantine regime is maintained in the following settlements: Stefan Voda town, Talmaza village, Stefan Voda district, Glodeni town, settlements Etulia and Cismichioi from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Valea Perjei village, Cimislia district.
As many as 24,445 people have been tested since the beginning of the epidemic and 4,728 infection cases were confirmed. A number of 1,826 people infected with COVID-19 have been treated till present and 150 deaths of people infected with coronavirus were registered.
