As many as 60 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ -As many as 546 biological samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 60 ones proved to be positive. Thus, there are 4,927 confirmed cases of new-type coronavirus in all.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), all cases are with local transmission. Most cases were registered in Ceadar-Lunga – 9, Edinet – 9, Basarabeasca – 7, Chisinau – 5, Cahul, Falesti, Balti – 4 cases each, Causeni, Comrat, Sangerei, Soroca, Taraclia – 2 cases each, Anenii Noi, Hancesti, Ocnita, Stefan Voda – 1 case each. At the same time, another 4 cases of infection with the COVID-19 virus today were confirmed in the Transnistrian region.

Thirteen out of all cases registered today represent medical employees: 7 medical assistants, one pharmacist, 5 auxiliary staff employees.

Eight deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours and thus, there are 169 people dead of this virus. Another 1,958 people infected with COVID-19 have been treated.

State of emergency is declared all over Moldova on the period 17 March – 15 May 2020, given the COVID-19 pandemic.
