More companies of Moldova to be financed through PARE 1+1 Programme

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - Twenty seven new investment projects, created by migrant workers or their relatives, will benefit from financial support through the Programmne on Attraction of Remittances into Economy PARE 1+1, managed by the Organization for Small-and Medium-sized Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM). The overall value of the projects is of 6.66 million. Thus sum will subsequently contribute to the attraction of about 16.13 million lei investments into the economy.
„The PARE 1+1 programme within ODIMM is a success initiative with an important impact on the national economy. I am happy to find out that more and more citizens are interested in investing and developing business at home. The Economics and Infrastructure Ministry (MEI) backs innovative ideas proposed by Moldovan migrants and appreciates their courage to invest in their own business,’’ the competent minister, Sergiu Railean, said.
The beneficiaries applications were received and assessed in online regime on the period of the emergency state and the financing contracts were signed by taking all caution measures and observing the hygiene and social distancing rules against the spread of COVID-19 virus. As much as 74.1 per cent of all companies accepted for financing work in 16 Moldovan districts and 25.9 per cent – in Chisinau.
„PARE 1+1” is the first portfolio programme of ODIMM, which started providing to entrepreneurs non-refundable financing for starting and doing business. ‘’During years, thousands of people have been backed, who managed to do profitable businesses, to grow and promote both locally and internationally, with competitive products. I am quite sure that those 27 today’s beneficiaries will transform the challenges in opportunities and, during time, their businesses will turn into success stories,’’ the ODIMM director general, Iulia Costin, said.
Another 53 businesses worth 12.93 million lei in all have been accepted for financing during 2020, which will favour the investments in the economy amounting to about 35.49 million lei.
As many as 2,941 people have been registered in the PARE1+1 programme and 2,410 beneficiaries were trained. The programme facilitated access of 1,623 enterprises to non-refundable financing worth 335.19 million lei. The overall value of investments planned in the economy is more than one billion lei. Thus, each Moldovan leu provided as grant generates about 3 lei invested in the economy. The programme is subsidized from the state budget and supplemented from funds of the European Union’s project, Support to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Rural Zones.
