Moldovan president has meeting with heads of associations of transport companies

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon today held a new working meeting with representatives of various branches of the national economy - heads of transport companies’ associations, the presidential press service has reported.

The interlocutors discussed the current situation in the goods transport sector, which has a foremost role in the development of infrastructure, situation in the field of export-import operations, as well as the passenger transport.     

As a result of the crisis triggered by the pandemic, the sides found out a serious worsening of the situation in this branch. At the same time, the participants in the meeting noted that, after the epidemic was over, the problems in the concerned sector, as well as in the economy on the whole would remain and the re-establishment of the normal work would be slow.   

The head of state assured the interlocutors that the present Moldovan leadership knew the problems in this branch, as well as in other fields. Dodon said that, next week, after discussions held with representatives of each sector, the authorities would launch a package of initiatives for each field of the economy.
