Moldovan cabinet approves needed measures for emergency state in public health sector

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers, at a today’s meeting, approved a draft law on the establishment of measures for the period of emergency state in the public health sector and amendment of legislative acts.
Thus, the government voted for more activities and provisions, meant to back the residents and various structures, especially the public sector ones, in the conditions of the emergency state in the public health sector.
The decision is structured on more dimensions, in the social, legal, economic, business, social assistance, human rights and labour protection fields.
Under the cabinet decision, this string of measures, many of which were adopted in the emergency state from 17 March – 15 May, are aimed at contributing to the prevention and combating of the COVID-19 new-type of coronavirus, as well as at supporting, including materially, the sectors hit or which are still affected by the pandemic and the crisis triggered by the emergency states and restrictions imposed by the authorities.
Starting from 16 June, after the first in Moldova’s history emergency state was lifted, emergency state in the public health sector was declared, which will last till 30 June 2020. On this period, the decisions by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission are executory for the central and local public administration authorities, for private people and legal entities, no matter the activity sector and legal form of organization.
