The PM thanked the Romanian nation for the assistance provided to combat the epidemic, highlighting, in particular, the mission of Romanian physicians and rescuers. The support is of special value, for reasons that it was provided on the emergency state period and consists in equipment and essential products for the management of the epidemiological situation.
The restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of the epidemic and affected the economic processes regionally and globally, triggering essential contractions of the Gross Domestic Product and blocked the work of important industries. The getting out of the quarantine state regionally will imply communication and preserving a cautious balance, in order to prevent the occurring of a new wave of infections.
Ion Chicu appreciated Romania’s support in the European integration process and voiced confidence that the bilateral relations would develop in a friendly way, based on mutual respect.
