State of emergency in public health could be extended - PM says

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/- The state of emergency in public health could be extended after 30 June. The decision will be examined tomorrow at a meeting of the National Commission of Public Health, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said at the end of the weekly meeting on Monday with President Igor Dodon and Speaker Zinaida Grecianîi.
Chicu said that given increasing number of people infected with the coronavirus, the number of hospital beds was increased last week.
The state of emergency in public health was set up on 16 May and was to end on 30 June.
