Another 54 people with suspicisions of COVID-19 hospitalized in Moldova

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - Fifty four people suspected of infection with the new-type coronavirus have been hospitalized at the Chisinau-based COVID-19 Centre in the last 24 hours.

As many as 17,672 confirmed cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus have been confirmed in Moldova till present, of which 1,265 ones in the Transnistrian region.

The health condition of the infected people is as follows: 422 are in serious condition (of whom 29 are connected to artificial breathing apparatus), 1,129 are in medium seriousness condition and the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

So far, a number of 2,528 cases of infection among health system employees have been confirmed of which: physicians – 656, medical assistants – 1,143, hospital attendants – 508, auxiliary staff employees – 221.

Another 322 persons were treated and discharged. As many as of 10,396 people were healed in all.

At the same time, another two deaths triggered by COVID-19 have been recorded.
