Moldovan head of state signs decree on appointment of new ambassador to Switzerland

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon has signed a decree on the appointment of the state secretary at the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry Tatiana Molcean as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Moldova to the Swiss Confederation, the presidential press service has reported.
Tatiana Molcean has a quite rich experience of work in the Moldovan diplomacy and the first one as ambassador. Moldova’s president, along with Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Oleg Tulea and the presidential adviser on foreign policy, Aureliu Ciocoi, discussed with the new ambassador prospects of Moldova’s cooperation with Switzerland. The officials wished Tatiana Molcean success in exercising her first diplomatic mission. The officials highlighted the importance of strengthening the cooperation relations with Switzerland, which plays a significant role in the European and international policy.
Moldova’s Embassy in the Swiss Confederation is placed in Geneva and fulfills, by plurality of offices, the duties of representation at the UN Office, the headquarters of the World Health Organization and other international organizations.
