As many as 1,230 deaths caused by COVID-19 registered in Moldova in all

Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,565 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours, of which 650 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 47,446 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), nine out of all cases are of import (Ukraine – 3, Monaco-2, Portugal – 2, the Czech Republic – 1, Turkey -1). At the same time, 30 out of all cases registered are medical employees: 5 physicians, 18 medical assistants and 7 auxiliary staff employee.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 562 are in serious condition (of whom 33 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus) and 1,401 persons are in medium seriousness condition; the other patients are in satisfactory condition.

Another 524 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 35,542 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,230 people dead of this virus in all.
