Moldovan tax body registered 9,411 leases in early 2020

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/- The State Tax Service (SFS) continues to carry out actions to bring in the legal framework private people and legal entities that offer real estate for rent. The institution's measures are aimed at ensuring a high level of tax compliance in this area of activity, the SFS has reported.

According to the Tax Service, during nine months of this year (January-September) 9411 contracts for leasing / renting of real estate were registered. The contracts were registered with the tax service departments in the territory in which they are located.

At the same time, in September the SFS continued the actions of compliance and verification of individuals who lease real estate. As a result, 3218 lease / rent contracts were registered at SFS.

The State Tax Service recommends to people who offer real estate for rent to comply with the tax legislation and pay tax in the amount of 7% of revenues.
