Five more high schools in Chisinau to have artificial turf football fields

Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- Five more educational institutions in the capital will have completed the football fields with artificial turf, which are being built within the pilot project Football in schools, implemented by the Chisinau city hall jointly with the Moldovan Football Federation.

In the current period, the works for arranging the objectives in the high schools are completed: L. Deleanu, N. Gogol, Gaudeamus, N. Iorga and G. Călinescu.

Currently, on the territories of the mentioned educational institutions, works are being carried out for the redevelopment of the sports fields, through the reconstruction of the running tracks, the delimitation of the areas for long jumps, those for sports games, the installation of protection fences etc.

At the same time, the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports of the capital manages the activities on coordination of the individual plans that include the Football subject at the Sport direction, taking into account the requests of the high school managers.

According to Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban, local authorities aim to increase the number of educational institutions that benefit from modernized sports fields, by investing in infrastructure and creating the necessary conditions so that students can develop their skills and talent in the sector.

The pilot project Football in schools includes six educational institutions in Chisinau.
