Give Sense to Money camp reaches over 80 settlements of Moldova

Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/ - The second issue of the Give Sense to Money financial education camp, organized by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) and the Expert-Grup Independent Analytical Centre, on 9-13 August, has managed to bring together hundreds of participants from over 80 settlements of Moldova. The event was held online, giving equal chances of participation to people of various ages, occupations and residences.
The participants in the second issue of this Camp are pupils, students and young employees with ages between 16 and 30 years and most of them are from the districts and municipalities of Cahul, Chisinau, Ialoveni, Falesti, Orhei, Rezina, Soroca, Stefan Voda, Ungheni, etc.
During five days, the participants were trained by eight trainers – employees of BNM and Expert-Grup Centre. The participants accumulated knowledge on the national financial system, instruments of investing and crediting, non-cash payments and online trade, which will help for a better management of the personal budgets and/or of the family.
On the last day of the 2021 financial education camp, the participants made a virtual tour of the National Bank, and then they tested in real time the knowledge gained during the week at a virtual contest. Ten out of those 100 participants, who got maximal number of points at this contest, are given prizes by BNM and Expert-Grup with sets of coins and commemorative coins.
The financial education camp is organized the second year in a row within the Give Sense to Money financial education project, launched by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) and Expert-Grup Independent Analytical Centre in 2019. The project was initiated, in order to enhance the level of understanding of the principal financial concepts and products among young people, so that, when facing situations with financial impact, they take correct decisions in managing their own incomes.
