Another 5,850 doses of anti-COVID-19 Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine brought to Moldova

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ - Another 5,850 doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccines produced by the Pfizer/BioNTech pharmaceutical company were brought to Chisinau on 19 August. It is about the fourth installment of a consignment of 700,830 doses purchased by the Health Ministry, through the Office for Management of Foreign Assistance Programmes. As many as 49, 140 vaccine doses have been received in all.
According to the Health Ministry, the vaccine was deposited at the National Public Health Agency and is to be distributed proportionally to all vaccination points from Moldova.
So far, Moldova has received 274,950 doses of Pfizer vaccine: through the COVAX platform – 125,190 doses, donated by Romania – 100,620 doses, procurements – 49,140 doses.
At present, 1,200,189 doses of vaccine were administered in Moldova and 620,802 people have been completely immunized.
