Exhibition dedicated to 30th anniversary of Moldova's Independence inaugurated at National Library

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Culture Ministry, National Library, in cooperation with the National Agency of Archives and CORELI Moldova, today inaugurated an exhibition and event titled, Moldova – 30 Years of Independence.
Attending the event were President Maia Sandu, Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan, Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita, writers Vladimir Besleaga and Ion Hadarca, former MPs of the first Moldova’s parliament, culture and art people.
In her speech, President Maia Sandu referred to the significance of the historic act which had taken place on 27 August 1991 – proclamation of Moldova’s Independence. The head of state highly appreciated this exhibition, stressing that we must know our history, learn from its lessons.
In the context, Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan said that such exhibitions were meant to convey to the next generations the value message of Moldova’s history of 30 years of independence.
The exhibition will be open till 30 October.
