Sheriff Tiraspol first team of Moldova to quality for Champions League groups

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s football champion, Sheriff Tiraspol, tied the match with the champion of Croatia, Dinamo Zagreb, with the score 0:0, on the stadium Maksimir from Zagreb on 25 August evening. Thus, the Moldovan team qualified for the Champions League groups.

Immediately after the match, the Sheriff Tiraspol players celebrated the historical moment before those 8,000 spectators on the Maksimir stadium from Zagreb.

Thirty one football teams will play in the 2021-2022 issue of the Champions League. Spain is the country with most teams qualified and eight states have one team qualified each.
