Chisinau city hall increased number of buses to suburbs

Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall has set five new buses, ISUZU type, on the suburban route Chisinau - Codru.

According to Mayor Ion Ceban, the increase in the number of buses on this route comes at the request of the inhabitants of Codru, which is part of Chisinau. "Until now, there were only two transport units on this route. We have increased the number as a result of the requests coming from the inhabitants ", he saidl.

He noted that the municipal authorities are concerned with the optimization of other public transport lines that connect with the suburbs. "We are doing our best to continue to meet the needs of citizens in the suburbs for transportation insurance," Ceban said.

Out of the batch of 100 new ISUZU buses, purchased by the municipality, 15 units were put on the route, the rest are delivered periodically, according to the contract, and by the end of the year they will all be in Chisinau.

The cost of the one hundred new ISUZU buses is about 12.5 million euros. The warranty period for the new buses is 6.5 years, during which the manufacturer will also ensure their maintenance.
