Moldovan deputy premier attends GUAM Council of Foreign Ministers meeting

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu attended the 37th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM, held in New York.
According to the MAEIE press service, the official reaffirmed Moldova's commitment to promoting effective and results-oriented cooperation at the regional level, including in the context of our country's holding of the presidency under GUAM next year.
"We welcomed the organization's efforts to expand relations with other states and organizations, while advocating intensified efforts to increase focus on the GUAM area, as well as strengthening sectoral cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, environment and digitalization," Popescu said.
The meeting signed the decision to set up a permanent GUAM group in the field of strategic communication, which will help increase the visibility of the organization, as well as promote its image, through various means related to digital diplomacy and public communication.
