Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with administrator of United Nations Development Programme

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has discussed with the administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, Achim Steiner, in New York.
The Moldovan diplomacy head appreciated the important support provided by the UNDP Country Office for the carrying out of the Sustainable Development Goals and Moldova’s social and economic improvement, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„I noted the major cooperation fields in which we rely on UNDP’s assistance and expertise: climate changes, digitalization and innovations, environmental protection, sustainable management of natural resources, combating corruption and edification of the rule of law state,’’ Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu said.
The diplomats also agreed on boosting the joint actions, in order to achieve the development goals set and ensure better living conditions for Moldova’s citizens.
