Over 16,000 patients call ambulance in Moldova in last week

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - Emergency medical assistance teams provided the first medical aid to 16,870 people on the period 20-26 September.
According to data by the National Centre for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance (CNAMUP), citizens with respiratory emergencies called for the ambulance most often – 5,214 patients, of whom 1,284 children.
As many as 2,878 calls represented cardiovascular emergencies, of which 49 heart attacks, followed by neurological emergencies – 1,973 cases, of whom 210 patients with cerebral vascular accidents. At the same time, 1,121 people with diverse injuries benefited from the first medical aid at the pre-hospital stage.
Ambulance teams were called in the case of 54 traffic accidents, in the wake of which 59 people suffered, of whom six children.
A number of 174 people with infectious diseases, 43 with intoxications, of whom 15 with medicines and 7 with alcohol, called the Emergency Service too.
