As many as 1,209 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,332 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,209 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Ten out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 291,252 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 28 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (7 physicians, 14 medical assistants and 7 representatives of the auxiliary staff).

As many as 2,067 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 158 are in extremely serious condition and 16 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 7,125 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,750 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,195 people have been treated. As many as 275,115 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 6,732 people have died of coronavirus in all.
