Textile toys manufactured with EU support in Ungheni

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/- A young entrepreneur started a business with textile toys in Ungheni. The project is being funded by a grant from the European Union.

In 2021, with European money, Cristina Lupu purchased several equipments to develop her business: a zig-zag sewing machine, toy filling equipment, specialized furniture and other equipment necessary for making toys. Thus, it will be possible to semi-automate production, increase quality, develop new toy models and, last but not least, create new jobs.

The grant, amounting to EUR 18,367, was awarded with the financial assistance of the European Union under the EU4Moldova: Key Regions Program, implemented by UNDP and UNICEF.

The toys made in Ungheni (elephants, bunnies, mice) are made of natural textiles, are non-allergic, have clothes with embroidery and removable accessories.
