Moldovan parliament's competent commission approves amendment of law on state social insurances budget

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s commission for social protection, health and family today approved a report on the amendment of the law on state social insurances budget for 2021.   

The draft was elaborated, in order to specify the revenues and expenses of the state social insurances budget for this year. The need of specification was triggered by more factors: the results of the fulfillment of the budget’s indexes in the first half of this year; dynamic of the contingent of beneficiaries and the average sizes of the social benefits; updating by the Economics Ministry of the forecast of the macro-economic indexes.

Also, the increase in the expenses and revenues of the state social insurances budget was dictated by the updating of the indexation coefficient on 1 October 2021, of the pensions and other social benefits, as well as by the increase in the minimum age limit pension up to 2,000 lei.      

The proposals on the amendment of the state social insurances budget see that the overall revenues and expenditures will increase by 1, 089, 549.1 thousand lei or from 26, 400, 519.1 thousand lei up to 27, 490, 068.2 thousand lei.   

The expenses meant for the activities financed from the general resources of the state social insurances budget are suggested to be increased by 376, 418.4 thousand lei; thus, they will amount to 19, 474, 413.5 thousand lei.  

At the same time, the expenses for the activities financed at the expense of the transfers from the state budget are envisaged to stand at 8,015, 654.7 thousand lei, i.e. to be increased by 713, 130.7 thousand lei.  

The draft law of the state social insurances budget for 2021 is designed to efficiently and transparently manage the financing resources meant for the public system of social insurances.
