Procedure of recognition of Moldovan driver's licences in Germany to start in next October

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan authorities in next October will start the procedure of signing an agreement between the governments of Moldova and Germany on the conversion of the driver’s licences. President Maia Sandu made statements to this effect at a joint news conference held with President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, on an official visit to Moldova.
The head of state said that Germany had always been a reliable partner for Moldova and backed more programmes and German business people came with investments and created thousands of jobs.
“I would like us to strengthen the bilateral relations. Our country is prepared for German investments. The donations of medical equipment made by Germany since the beginning of the pandemic amount to over 11 million euros,’’ Maia Sandu said.
The German official congratulated the Moldovan leadership on the result of the latest parliamentary elections and showed confidence that the things would go well in Moldova. ‘’Mrs. President Maia Sandu, I know that you are set to do a lot of things and I know that you enjoy the support of the political class, but you should know that you benefit from a strong support on behalf of Germany,’’ Frank-Walter Steinmeier said.
The German president also said that he had been empowered by the government of Germany to bring a package of support of ten million euros for backing the reforms; this money should help the citizens, especially young people.
President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier is on an official visit to Chisinau on 29-30 September, at an invitation by President Maia Sandu.
