Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - A journalism book titled, Călărașii și Renașterea Națională. Mărturii. Evocări. Imagini (Calarasi and National Revival. Evidence. Evocations. Pictures) signed by writer Eugenia Bulat, was launched at the National Library (BNRM) today.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Eugenia Bulat said that this book represented an invitation for young people willing to know more about the beginnings of the National Revival in Moldova and the promoters of the democratic changes. ‘’I tried to dissect the essences of a feverish time – 1989-1991, proceeding from my own understanding, studying sources and raking up the memories of the struggle fellows: people whom I knew alive,’’ the author said.
Eugenia Bulat (born on 19 September 1956 in the Sadova village, central Calarasi district) is poet and journalist, founding director and editor-in-chief of the Clipa Siderala literary magazine (1995-2015), member of the Moldovan and Romanian Writers’ Unions. She graduated from the Ion Creanga Pedagogical University of Chisinau. Bulat was the first democratically elected mayor of her native village. She debuted with the first volume of poems, La Putna mi-e drumul (My Way is to Putna) in 1994.
Eugenia Bulat was awarded the prize of the Department for Romanians Everywhere for the promotion of the Romanian literature abroad in Bucharest in 2010. In the same year, she was awarded the Order of the Republic.
