Moldova IT Park to work according to more efficient, simplified rules

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - The way the administration of the Moldova IT Park is organized and works has been adjusted at a cabinet meeting today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported. 

Thus, the current residents will easier access the park’s resources and the procedure of joining will be simplified for potential residents. In this respect, to avoid errors and save time, a standard application on the registration as resident of the park and the minimal set of documents which must be annexed to the application was established.   

At the same time, to avoid interpretations, decision-makers established the cases when the park’s administration can initiate the cancellation of the contract on carrying out the work at the IT Park. Also, the cabinet members simplified the procedure of carrying out the assembly of the Park’s residents and digitalized the movement of documents between the residents and the Park’s Administration through email, with the use of the advanced qualified signature. Earlier, the documents have been presented only on paper.    

Following the approval of the adjustings, the IT Park’s administration will be able to directly access the technical and financial assistance from international institutions and donors for development projects.

Earlier, the draft was subjected to repeated public consultations during 20 August – 1 September 2021.  

Moldova IT Park is a platform set up by the government, in order to stimulate the investments and develop IT businesses, for research, development and digital innovation. Presently, over 850 resident companies with more than 13.6 thousand employees are registered at the IT Park, with an income of 5.4 billion lei, forecast for this year. In 2020, the Moldova IT park’s residents contributed with over 540 million lei to the National Public Budget from a single tax and other taxes.
