Moldovan Constitutional Court turns down notifications on Law on Prosecutor's Office

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court (CCM) today rejected the notifications submitted by Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo and MPs Vasile Bolea and Vladimir Voronin.
CCM declared inadmissible the notifications on the control of the constitutionality of some provisions from the Law No 3 from 25 February 2016 on the Prosecutor’s Office and the Law No 102 from 24 August 2021 for the amendment of the Law No 3 from 25 February 2016 on the Prosecutor’s Office and of the Decree of Moldova’s President No 147-IX from 6 September 2021 on the de jure ceasing of the mandate of member of the Superior Council of Prosecutors of Dumitru Pulbere.
The lawmakers asked the constitutional judges to verify the constitutionality of the evaluation of Moldova’s Prosecutor General. Judges Serghei Turcan and Vladimir Turcan formulated separate opinions.
