Cabinet approves structure of Classifier of occupations from Moldova

Chisinau, 30 September /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the structure of the classifier of occupations from Moldova. The document sees the exposing of the occupations in the Classifier in the feminine gender, according to proposals by the council for the prevention and elimination of discrimination and ensuring equality, as well as recommendations by European institutions as to the ensuring of the principle of equality and equity between women and men, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.          

The names of the occupations were exposed in the feminine gender only in cases when the concerned form is recorded in lexicographic sources. The names of occupations were classified in 10 major groups and 40 major sub-groups, 127 minor groups and 433 basic groups.   

The classifier of occupations from Moldova is enforced in all fields of economic and social activity and is compulsory for all central and local public administration authorities, enterprises, organizations and institutions, no matter the type of property and the form of legal organization and other legal entities and private people who carry out their work in Moldova, at the filling in of official documents, whenever the indication of the occupation is demanded.
