Difficult traffic registered at Costesti-Stanca customs checkpoint for technical reasons

Chisinau, 1 October /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s Customs Service informed about the difficult traffic at the Costesti-Stanca customs checkpoint, north-western Moldova. Because of the lack of connection to the Internet, its work was ceased for 2.5 hours.  

„Starting from 13:30, the Costesti customs checkpoint resumed the work, given that the employees resorted to the manual processing of data. This way will be enforced till the full reestablishment of the connection to Internet, which will extend the waiting time at the border,’’ the Customs Service said.

In the context, the authorities urge people who planned to cross the state border through the aforementioned customs checkpoint to opt for the points placed nearby: Sculeni-Sculeni and Lipcani-Radauti-Prut.

In the context, the Customs Service noted that the Lipcani customs checkpoint worked starting from 8:00 till 20:00 and the Sculeni customs checkpoint – 24 hours.
