Moldovan tax body registered over 13,000 leasing contracts

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/- In January -September 2021, 13,236 lease / rent contracts were registered with the State Tax Service (SFS). Also, 4,333 private people were identified who lease / rent real estate without timely registration of contracts.

At the same time, for 562 private people who lease real estate and did not comply with the legal provisions were calculated additionally for payment to the budget: basic payments - 703 thousand lei, penalties - 50 thousand lei and fines - 101, 6 thousand lei.

The SFS reminds that, according to the Fiscal Code, the subjects of taxation of natural persons who do not carry out entrepreneurial activity and transfer in possession and / or use real estate property, pay income tax 7% of the monthly value of the contract.

The persons are obliged, within 3 days from the date of concluding the contract, to register the contract with SFS. This tax is paid monthly, at the latest on the 25th of the current month, in the manner established by the State Fiscal Service.
