Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will use the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) of the International Monetary Fund, in order to finance the state budget’s needs. Thus, about 236 million dollars will be used to finance the necessities of Moldova’s state budget. The parliament adopted a draft law to this effect in the final reading today.
The document does not imply reimbursement obligations, as each IMF member state can use the SDR of its share, according to the domestic needs.
SDR represent a reserve asset created by the International Monetary Fund, in order to supplement the current reserve assets of the IMF member states.
