Head of state says Moldova relies on European support in strengthening energy sector

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a meeting with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, European Commission Vice-President Josep Borrell in Brussels today afternoon. The discussions were focused on the developments of security in the region and the boosting of the cooperation with EU in 2022, the presidential press service has reported.
President Maia Sandu thanked Josep Borrell for the support provided to Moldova during this year, including in order to cope with the energy crisis.
„I conveyed him that Moldova relies on the European support in the strengthening of the energy sector, a process through which we want to diversify the energy sources and thus to ensure the country’s energy independence,’’ Maia Sandu said.
