As many as 492 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,164 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 492 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 370,951 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), eight out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 physicians, 2 medical assistants and 3 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 1,061 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 157 are in extremely serious condition and 37 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,646 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,230 are under supervision at home.

Another 630 people have been treated. As many as 356,077 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 20 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,434 people have died of coronavirus in all.
