Moldovan, European officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, Dec. 16 / MOLDPRES /- On a visit to Brussels, President Maia Sandu had a meeting with Oliver Varhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state thanked the European official for the support during the year. "The help from the European Commission has supported us in the fight against the pandemic and in the effort to relaunch economic activity," said President Maia Sandu.

The meeting also focused on the opportunities that are opening up for our country through the Economic and Investment Plan for the Eastern Partnership, as well as other initiatives that will be launched next year. The talks also focused on Moldova's priorities for 2022 in relation to the EU, including a new macro-financial assistance Program.
