Powers of parliament's secretary general to be extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s secretary general will have powers of management of the parliament’s budget. The MPs approved a draft law to this effect in the first reading today.
The amendments will give the secretary general the power of employing/dismissing civil servants of the parliament’s secretariat, as well as ensuring the management of the budgetary resources, of the parliament’s financial and economic activity.
The secretary general will inform half-yearly and if necessary the standing bureau about the expenses carried out.
