As many as 459 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,222 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 459 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Four out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 371,410 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), three out of all infection cases are among medical employees (1 physician, 1 medical assistant and 1 auxiliary staff employee).

As many as 1,025 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 156 are in extremely serious condition and 34 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,587 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 8,348 are under supervision at home.

Another 529 people have been treated. As many as 356,606 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 12 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,450 people have died of coronavirus in all.
