Moldovan president meets Azeri counterpart in Brussels

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a bilateral meeting with her Azeri counterpart Ilham Aliyev on 15 December, on the sidelines of the sixth Eastern Partnership Summit, held in Brussels, the presidential press service has reported.     

At the meeting, President Maia Sandu expressed interest in the boosting of the cooperation in the energy sector, as well as for the extension of the bilateral commercial and economic relations, including for the attraction of mutual investments. The Moldovan head of state also thanked Ilham Aliyev for openness to help Moldova during the last autumn energy crisis.
