Reception at completion of construction of drinking water supply system held in Drochia

Chisinau, 17 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- Over 20,000 inhabitants of Drochia benefit from modernized drinking water supply services, thanks to a EU-funded project. A new meeting of the project's local steering committee (CDL) and the reception event at the end of the construction and assembly works for the drinking water supply system took place yesterday.
During the meeting, Drochia mayor Nina Cereteu, CDL head informed the participants of the meeting of the decisions and conclusions from the minutes of the previous meeting of CDL. The CDL head also outlined the risks that may arise after the implementation of the project.
"The participants in the meeting and those responsible for the construction and installation of the new water supply system went to the field to document the construction-assembly works carried out within the project. In the context of the reception event at the end of the works within the project, the members of the commission signed the reception documents attesting the completion of the construction-assembly works of the modernized water supply system ", indicates the North Regional Development Agency (ADR).
The construction works carried out at Drochia include: 19.5 km of the rehabilitated water supply network; five rehabilitated artesian wells; 1200 consumer connections.
The total value of the project is 91.73 million lei, of which 85.25 million lei - granted by the European Union and 6.47 million lei - local contribution.
The investment measure and Improving water supply services in the city of Drochia was funded by the European Union and implemented by ADR Nord and the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova (MSPL). The MSPL project is funded by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova.
