Three Moldovan designers launch collections of clothes adapted for disabled people

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/ - Three collections of clothes adapted to needs of people with disabilities have been created and launched in Moldova for the first time ever. Evghenii Hudorojcov, Ana Popova and Duca Clothing have joined a campaign by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Fighting Stigma with Style, and cut out clothes adjusted to the needs of disabled women.
According to the designers, a cloth adapted to the needs of the people with disabilities is the one which can be put on easier, has magnets instead of traditional buttons, has wider décolletages, are based on natural texture and, at the same time, can be accommodated to diverse situations.
The launch of the three collections of dresses, suits and pajamas included also a defile, in which 15 disabled women participated.
The Fighting Stigma with Style Campaign was launched at initiative of UNFPA Moldova, in order to promote the inclusion and equal opportunities of self-assertion in the fashion and textiles industry.
