Romania donates specialized technology, equipment for journalism laboratory of Moldova's State University

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - The journalism laboratory of the Journalism and Communication Sciences Faculty (FJSC) of the Moldovan State University (USM) will be endowed with last generation cameras, web cameras, drones, microphones, prompters, LED screens, studio lights, software of audio and video montage, provided by the Romanian Department for Relation with Moldova (DRRM) today.
Attending the event of reception of the specialized equipment and technology for endowing the journalism lab were USM Rector Igor Sarov, the state secretary at the Romanian Department for Relation with Moldova, Adrian Dupu, Romania’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita, FJSC Dean Victoria Bulicanu, representatives of USM’s academic community.
In his speech, USM Rector Igor Sarov stressed that, during 2021, the State University of Moldova had enjoyed the constant support of the Department for Relation with Moldova in the process of carrying out of various projects in the education, scientific and culture sectors. ‘’I express sincere thanks to the government of Romania for the huge support provided to the State University of Moldova. These investments will contribute to the training of young journalists able to easily be employed, as they will have not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical competences,’’ the USM rector said.
For his part, the state secretary at the Romanian Department for Relation with Moldova, Adrian Dupu, noted that the USM’s role was quite important, as it educates future generations of specialists and the investments made by DRRM for endowing the laboratory at FJSC will contribute to the training of the future journalists. In the context, Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita said this project represented an extra proof of the seriousness proved by Romania in its complex relations with Moldova. In the context, the diplomat referred to the importance to consolidate the mass media as the fourth power in Moldova and the training of well-educated journalists.
DRRM invested about 30,000 euros for buying the specialized technology and equipment. This year, DRRM backed the creation of the Gheorghe Bratianu Information Centre, organization of the international conference of language sciences, Eugen Coseriu, etc.
