As many as 177 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,020 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 177 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Five out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 374,526 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), one out of all infection cases is among medical employees (one physician).

As many as 669 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 88 are in extremely serious condition and 15 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 2,120 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 10,740 are under supervision at home.

Another 202 people have been treated. As many as 360,413 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another eight deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 9,613 people have died of coronavirus in all.
