Moldovan electoral body asks parties to update information about them

Chisinau, 5 January /MOLDPRES/ - The political formations will have to present updated information about them till 20 January.  

To optimize the communication with the political parties, as well as enhance their responsibility, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) asked the political formations for updated information about the leader of the party and the formation’s contact data (legal address, the contact one of the office/headquarters, address of the webpage, phone). Additionally, updated data is demanded for confirming the treasurers (surname, given name, contact data and the copy of the document which confirms the powers). At the same time, to establish and/or payment of subsidies from the state budget meant for parties, updated data is to be provided about the bank account meant on this purpose.  

If the powers of the leader of the political party, for various reasons, have expired, and under a decision by the statutory body of the formation, another person was nominated with right of signature/representation on behalf of the entity, the presentation of the copy from his/her act is demanded (authenticated through the applying of the signature of the authorized person and the stamp of the political party) or, as case may be, the extract of empowerment or nomination.    

The central electoral authority demanded that the information is submitted till 20 January this year.
