Investigating officer caught red-handed with bribery

Chisinau, January 11 / MOLDPRES /- An investigating officer of the Central Police Inspectorate has been apprehended by officers of the Internal Protection and Anti-Corruption Service (SPIA) of the Ministry of Interior in a passive corruption case.
According to the SPIA, he allegedly demanded and received from a citizen 1,000 euros for a favorable decision, in a criminal case in which the latter is targeted.
If found guilty, the officer faces up to 6 years in prison or a criminal fine.
