Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - The situation in the energy sector and the measures needed for removing the risks of ceasing the supply of natural gas were analyzed at a today’s meeting of the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The CSE members discussed the possibility of allocating additional compensations to household consumers. The adjusting of the sum for compensations will be made as a result of the revision of the tariff for consumers demanded by the Moldovagaz stock company. The commission ruled that the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) analyzes and approves the new tariff till 31 January, after a thorough verification of the calculations presented by Moldovagaz.
The participants in the CSE meeting also ruled that the thermal electric power stations make the adjusting in accordance with the average air temperature, within the limit of up to 10 per cent of the values of calculation of the thermal energy supplied to consumers. The implementation of the measures of rationalizing the consumption will lead to a decrease of the gas consumption by about 5 million cubic meres.
Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita has earlier publicly informed that the tariff for a consumption of up to 150 cubic metres monthly would remain unchanged for the household consumers and the cabinet would intervene to help the citizens each time.
