As many as 5,366 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 17,065 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 5,366 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 961 ones in the Transnistrian region. Thirty four out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 428,934 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 392 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (110 physicians, 190 medical assistants, 92 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,830 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 223 are in extremely serious condition and 36 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 21,411 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 25,990 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,618 people have been treated. As many as 376,491 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,600 people have died of coronavirus in all.
