More than 2,200 drivers fined for infringing road traffic regulations in Moldova in last week-end

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - Patrol officers in the last week-end carried out actions of detecting drivers who infringe the legislation. As many as 2,200 drivers were sanctioned in the wake of these infringements.

According to the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP), in the last week-end, law-enforcers fined 900 drivers for exceeding the speed limit, 324 drivers failed to give legal priority to pedestrians and 260 received fines for not allowing pedestrians to cross.

On the same period, 32 drunk drivers were found and removed from driving by patrol officers; most of them were in advanced state of ebriety.

At the same time, also on the days-off, patrol agents intervened in 96 cases, calls coming to the 112 single Service.
