As many as 5,255 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 Februarty /MOLDPRES/- A number of 17,166 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 5,255 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 21 out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 455,095 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 405 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (128 physicians, 160 medical assistants, 117 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 3,112 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 179 are in extremely serious condition and 29 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 26,247 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 24,530 are under supervision at home.

Another 4,520 people have been treated. As many as 392,995 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 27 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,718 people have died of coronavirus in all.
