Moldovan deputy premier met with North Carolina Secretary of State

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu had a meeting with Elaine F. Marshall, North Carolina Secretary of State, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The officials approached issues related to the development and consolidation of bilateral relations in various areas of mutual interest, highlighting both the symbolism of the special partnership between the Republic of Moldova and North Carolina, and the successes over the past 23 years of cooperation, especially in the humanitarian, educational, medical and defense fields.

"I noticed the importance of strengthening the ties of friendship and good cooperation, including by organizing the next meeting of the Moldova-North Carolina bilateral cooperation committee this year," Popescu said.
